I am new to yoga. Which class should I try? 

We recommend trying our gentle yoga or restorative yoga class if you are a brand new beginner. If you have attended a few yoga classes in the past, you may also enjoy our slow flow class.

I am worried about trying yoga due to an injury (past or present). What should I do?

We encourage all of our clients to see their doctor FIRST before trying a yoga class, especially if they are dealing with any type of injury, whether acute or a past injury. Yoga instructors ARE NOT medical professionals. While we can assist you with modifying your practice to accommodate trouble spots, we cannot offer medical advice. It is best to speak with your health care professional before starting a yoga practice or any other form of physical exercise. Feel free to discuss any pre-existing areas of concern with your instructor so that they can best assist you with modifications.

What do I need to take class?

The simple answer is: VERY LITTLE! Wear comfortable clothes (leggings or sweatpants are best) that you are able to move around in easily. If you have a yoga mat at home, great! If not, an open area on the floor will do! You may find yoga blocks and a strap to be helpful tools for your practice. They are inexpensive and can be purchased online fairly easily. If you are taking a restorative or yin yoga class, having a few pillows nearby is also a good idea.

How do I sign up for class?

You can sign up for one of our virtual classes right here on our website! Click on the class schedule under the Lotus & Compass Yoga tab, and that will take you to our Schedule Bliss scheduling site. You can also download the free Schedule Bliss mobile app and select Lotus & Compass Yoga as your preferred studio. We offer TWO OPTIONS for class: LIVE CLASSES take place in real time on Zoom. Immediately following the live class, an ON DEMAND class option will be added to the schedule for that day. You can sign up for ON DEMAND classes until midnight on the day of class, and the pre-recorded video link will be emailed over to you. You may access this video recording as many times as you like for 30 days.

How much are classes?

All virtual yoga classes are $10 per class.
All class passes are non-refundable.

What if I have to cancel my attendance for class?

Easy peasy! Head to our website or the Schedule Bliss mobile app, log into your account and select the class you have registered for. Click the "cancel" button. Your class pass will remain on your account to be used for a future class. ALL CLASSES MUST BE CANCELED by the student prior to the class start time. If you have any issues please send us an email at

Do you offer prenatal yoga?

We do not currently have a specific prenatal yoga class on our schedule. However, you may find that our gentle yoga classes are a good fit. For pregnant mothers who feel up to a more physical practice, our slow flow class is also appropriate as it offers many modifications for varied levels of practice.
