I am new to yoga. Which class should I try? 

We recommend trying our gentle yoga or yin yoga class if you are a brand new beginner. If you have attended a few yoga classes in the past, you may also enjoy our slow flow class.

I am worried about trying yoga due to an injury (past or present). What should I do?

We encourage all of our clients to see their doctor FIRST before trying a yoga class if they are dealing with any type of injury. Yoga instructors ARE NOT medical professionals. While we can assist you with modifying your practice to accommodate trouble spots, we cannot offer medical advice. It is best to speak with your health care professional before starting a yoga practice or any other form of physical exercise.

What do I need to bring to class?

Wear comfortable clothes (leggings or sweatpants are best) that you are able to move around in easily. Bring a reusable water bottle (we have cold purified water at the studio). You can also bring your own mat/strap/blocks if you wish. However, we have complimentary mats for use, as well as all of the props needed for class. We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes early to set up your mat and get settled.

How do I sign up for class?

We recommend signing up ahead of time on our website. Or, download the Schedule Bliss mobile app on your phone or tablet. Add "Lotus & Compass Yoga" as your preferred studio, and pay for classes/see our schedule right on the app! While pre-registration is NOT required (except for our 7:30 am classes, which must be reserved by 9pm the night before), we encourage you to register in advance to ensure you have a spot in class. Walk-in students will be able to take class on a first come/first serve basis if there is room.

How much are classes?

Our drop-in class rate is $15 per class. We offer a discounted drop-in rate of $12 for all full-time students, active military and active first responders. (valid ID must be presented at check-in) 
You can also go on our website and purchase a 10 Class Card (valid for one full year) for $130 (a $20 savings!!) 
All class passes are non-refundable.

What if I have to cancel my attendance for class?

Easy peasy! Head to our website or the Schedule Bliss mobile app, log into your account and select the class you have registered for. Click the "cancel" button. Your class pass will remain on your account to be used for a future class. ALL CLASSES MUST BE CANCELED by the student prior to the class start time. Any student who does not cancel their booking prior to the start of class will unfortunately lose that class pass.

Do you have yoga for kids?

So glad you asked!! YES, we offer a yoga class for the whole family on Saturday mornings! Adults ages 16+ are $10 to attend, and children ages 3-15 are $5 to attend. Children younger than 3 may attend class at the parent's discretion, but must be supervised at all times. 

Do you offer prenatal yoga?

We do not currently have a specific prenatal yoga class on our schedule. However, you may find that our gentle yoga classes are a good fit. For pregnant mothers who feel up to a more physical practice, our slow flow class is also appropriate as it offers many modifications for varied levels of practice.
